The zones chosen for our vineyards were exhaustively analyzed in order to determine their potential for high quality wines. Among the studies performed; flakes,analysis of feasibility and salinity were done, being the results amazingly promising. At the same time, Ugarteche's vineyard, to more than 1.000 feet above the sea level, was relying on more than 30 hectares of vineyards planted in 1971, which are ideal for the production of high quality fruit. The following year, 1998, Doña Paula was in full expansion and plantation of vineyards in the acquired surfaces.
